The Pittston Patriots routed the visiting Honesdale Hornets softball squad by a count of 9-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Patriots (10-0) will now prepare for their battle against Berwick (Berwick, PA). The Bulldogs go into the Wyoming Valley 1 battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Berwick nudged Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
