The Mid Valley Spartans softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Scranton Prep Cavaliers to 6 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Mid Valley moves its record to 10-0 on the year. The Spartans host Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA) to clash with the Wildcats in a Lackawanna 3 game on Monday, April 25. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 2-2.

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 game, on Monday, April 25. Scranton Prep will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Comets come into the game with a 5-0 record after their 14-0 league win over Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA).
