In Saturday's non-league contest, the New Rochelle Huguenots (New Rochelle, NY) softball team the visiting Pelham Memorial Pelicans (Pelham, NY), by a margin of 8-6.

With the triumph, New Rochelle moves its record to 1-0 on the year.

In their next game, the Pelicans play the Rye Garnets (Rye, NY) in a Section 1 II - D contest, on Monday, April 25. Pelham Memorial will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Garnets come into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 5-0 league loss to Harrison (Harrison, NY).
