The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds baseball team scored 20 runs and limited the host Lester Prairie Bulldogs to 6 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds (2-7) will now prepare for their match against New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN). The Greyhounds go into the Tomahawk match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, New Ulm Cathedral gained a win over Wabasso (Wabasso, MN), 10-7, in a league match.
The Bulldogs (0-8) will now prepare for their match against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, MN). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Belle Plaine was overwhelmed by Le Sueur-Henderson (Le Sueur, MN), 4-3, in a league match.
