Delaware High School Softball - Lake Forest gets by Indian River

The Lake Forest Spartans nipped the visiting Indian River Indians softball squad by a final score of 1-0 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Spartans (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Smyrna (Smyrna, DE). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Smyrna held off Dover (Dover, DE), 11-1, in a league battle.

The Indians now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Sussex Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 25. Indian River will confront a Golden Knights squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE). The Golden Knights record now stands at 8-2.
