Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Robertson County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. Mason County will face a Black Devils squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Pendleton County (Falmouth, KY). The Black Devils record now stands at 1-10.

With the loss, West Carter falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Lewis County lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Greenup County (Greenup, KY)
