Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY), 19-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Northeastern Clinton for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Thursday, April 25. Saranac will face a Cougars squad coming off a 16-15 league win over Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Moriah falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY) to face the Red Storm in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Saturday, April 27. The Red Storm enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Saranac Lake lost 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY)
