The Appleton City Bulldogs baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Liberal Bulldogs to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Wheatland for a Class 1 District 7 test on Friday, April 25.

With the defeat, Liberal drops to 4-8 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to East Newton (Granby, MO) to play the Patriots in a non-league test on Friday, April 25. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 9-7. East Newton won 4-0 in their recent league test against Cassville (Cassville, MO)
