The North Reading Hornets baseball team scored 14 runs and held the host Boston English Eagles to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Wednesday.

The Hornets now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Rockport for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 29. North Reading will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 11-1 league loss to Amesbury (Amesbury, MA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-5.

With the defeat, Boston English drops to 7-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Oakmont Regional (Ashburnham, MA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league test on Thursday, April 24. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 5-2. Oakmont Regional won 14-7 in their recent league test against Lunenburg (Lunenburg, MA)
