The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) and the visiting Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC), saw Central Davidson's baseball team get by Community School of Davidson by a tally of 4-3.

The Spartans (18-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 15-7 record. In their last battle, Pinecrest held off Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Spartans face the Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC) in a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A battle, on Thursday, April 24. Community School of Davidson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Pride enter the battle with a 16-5 record after their 13-0 league win over Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC).
