In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Wilkes Central Eagles baseball team scored a nice 13-3 victory over the South Stokes Sauras.
The Eagles (6-15) will now prepare for their game against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks enter the Foothills 2A game with a 10-11 record. In their last game, West Wilkes defeated Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 4-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Sauras face the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a Northwest 1A game, on Thursday, April 24. South Stokes will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record. The Buckin' Elks enter the game with a 5-15 record after their 11-1 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC).
