Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) and the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), saw Herscher's soccer squad triumph over Reed-Custer by a count of 8-1.

The Tigers (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Coalers enter the Illinois Central Eight battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Coal City tipped Wilmington (Wilmington, IL), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Comets battle the Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight battle, on Thursday, April 24. Reed-Custer will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Blue Devils enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 5-0 league win over Streator/Woodland (Streator, IL).
