In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Salem Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 win over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights.

The Wildcats (6-11) will now prepare for their outing against Roxana (Roxana, IL). The Shells enter the Cahokia outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Roxana was overwhelmed by Breese Central (Breese, IL), 2-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Knights confront the Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 26. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Miners enter the outing with a 3-7 record after their 3-2 league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
