In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Salem Spartans lacrosse squad scored a good 13-1 win over the Albemarle Patriots.
The Spartans (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights enter the River Ridge contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Cave Spring beat Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA), 10-9, in a league contest.
Next, the Patriots meet the Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) in a Jefferson contest, on Tuesday, April 29. Albemarle will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 5-2 record after their 12-8 non-league win over Monacan (Richmond, VA).
