In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting McLean Highlanders lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-11 win over the Herndon Hornets.
The Highlanders (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen enter the Liberty contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, George C. Marshall was nipped by Langley (McLean, VA), 18-4, in a league contest.
Next, the Hornets meet the Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) in a Liberty contest, on Friday, April 25. Herndon will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Generals enter the contest with a 7-2 record after their 16-2 non-league win over Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA).
