In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Howland Tigers softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Alliance Aviators.

The Tigers (8-7) will now prepare for their match against Canfield (Canfield, OH). The Cardinals come into the All-American match with a 13-1 record. In their last match, Canfield nipped Bamberg-Ehrhardt (Bamberg, SC), 13-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Aviators battle the Salem Quakers (Salem, OH) in a Eastern Buckeye match, on Thursday, April 24. Alliance will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record. The Quakers come into the match with a 6-9 record after their 9-4 league loss to West Branch (Beloit, OH).
