The Liberty Union Lions softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Bishop Hartley Hawks to 0 in the Lions non-league win on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hamilton Township for a Mid-State - Buckeye battle on Friday, April 25. Liberty Union will confront a Rangers team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Logan Elm (Circleville, OH). The Rangers record now stands at 3-13.
With the loss, Bishop Hartley moves to 11-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to St. Francis DeSales (Columbus, OH) to confront the Stallions in a Central Catholic battle on Friday, April 25. The Stallions come into the battle with a record of 3-10. St. Francis DeSales lost 18-3 in their recent non-league battle against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (Chardon, OH)
