The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) and the visiting Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), observed Hoover's softball team get by Calera by a tally of 8-6.
The Buccaneers (20-15) will now prepare for their bout against Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, AL). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 14-18 record. In their last bout, Vestavia Hills tipped Chelsea (Chelsea, AL), 3-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 25. Calera will attempt to advance on its 8-19 season record.
