New Mexico High School Softball - Grants sneaks past Espanola Valley

The Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) softball nipped the host Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM), 15-14 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Pirates now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a 4A District 5 outing on Thursday, April 24. Grants will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 23-0 league loss to Belen (Belen, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 2-20.
With the loss, Espanola Valley moves to 4-15 on the season. The Sundevils host Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM) to encounter the Hilltoppers in a 4A District 2 outing on Saturday, April 26. The Hilltoppers come into the outing with a record of 14-5. Los Alamos won 10-7 in their recent league outing against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM)
