In Wednesday's non-league test, the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL), by a tally of 10-4.

Next, the Astros clash with the Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL) in a South Suburban test, on Thursday, April 24. Shepard will attempt to advance on its 15-3 season record. The Lemont HS go into the test with a 13-4 record after their 13-0 league win over Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL).

The Bulldogs (8-7) will now prepare for their test against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Storm go into the non-league test with a 13-4 record. In their last test, South Elgin held off West Chicago (West Chicago, IL), 4-2, in a league test.
