In Wednesday's non-league test, the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL), by a tally of 10-0.
Next, the Bruins clash with the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) in a Tri-County test, on Thursday, April 24. St. Bede will attempt to advance on its 10-5 season record. The Crusaders go into the test with a 13-3 record after their 8-2 league loss to Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL).
The Hubs (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Crusaders go into the non-league test with a 0-10 record. In their last test, Lutheran was routed by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 10-3, in a league test.
