The Howland Tigers triumphed over the host LaBrae Vikings softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 28. Howland will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record.

The Vikings (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Newton Falls (Newton Falls, OH). The Tigers enter the Mahoning Valley Athletic - Grey challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Newton Falls was routed by Garfield (Garrettsville, OH), 11-5, in a league challenge.
