The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) and the host Greater Latrobe Wildcats (Latrobe, PA), saw Hempfield Area's lacrosse team top Greater Latrobe by a margin of 19-8.

The Spartans (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The Vikings enter the WPIAL 3A 2 challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Central Catholic was overwhelmed by Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA), 18-10, in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA). The Rebels enter the challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Seton LaSalle beat Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA), 17-4, in a non-league challenge.
