Kentucky High School Softball - Russell County falls to Barren County

April 24, 2023: Glasgow, KY 42141

In Monday's non-league outing, the host Barren County Trojans softball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the Russell County Lakers.

Coming up next, the Trojans battle the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (Scottsville, KY) in a District 15 game, on Thursday, April 27. Barren County will attempt to move on its 17-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 7-4 league loss to Warren East (Bowling Green, KY).

With the loss, Russell County falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Lakers host Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY) to face the Hornets in a District 16 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 3-13. Metcalfe County lost 20-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY)
