Bucktail Bucks (Farwell, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Jersey Shore Bulldogs (Jersey Shore, PA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bucks now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Area for a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Bucktail will face a Rangers squad coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Jersey Shore falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Central Mountain (Mill Hall, PA) to face the Wildcats in a Heartland I challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Central Mountain won 11-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Troy (Troy, PA)
