Illinois High School Softball - Lexington bounces Fieldcrest

The Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) softball routed the host Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), 20-6 in Monday's league bout.
The Minutemen (8-8) will now prepare for their bout against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks go into the non-league bout with a 6-10 record. In their last bout, Prairie Central toppled Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL), 15-1, in a league bout.
The Knights now possess a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to El Paso-Gridley for a Heart of Illinois bout on Wednesday, April 26. Fieldcrest will confront a Titans squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Titans record now stands at 6-10.
