Forest Park Rangers (Ferdinand, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Rangers now sport a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they host Wood Memorial for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Forest Park will face a Trojans squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Pike Central (Petersburg, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Loogootee falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN) to face the Jeeps in a Blue Chip challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Jeeps enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Northeast Dubois won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Southridge (Huntingburg, IN)
