Spackenkill Spartans (Poughkeepsie, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Millbrook Blazers (Millbrook, NY), 11-6 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ellenville for a Mid Hudson Athletic challenge on Wednesday, April 26. Spackenkill will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 20-0 non-league win over Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Millbrook falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Blazers host Pine Plains (Pine Plains, NY) to face the Bombers in a Mid Hudson Athletic challenge on Wednesday, April 26. The Bombers enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Pine Plains won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Dover (Dover Plains, NY)
