Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Samson Tigers (Samson, AL) and the visiting New Brockton Gamecocks (New Brockton, AL), witnessed Samson's softball squad tip New Brockton by a count of 7-3.

The Tigers now sport a 15-8 record. They play next when they host Daleville for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 26. Samson will meet a Warhawks squad coming off a 17-5 non-league loss to Headland (Headland, AL). The Warhawks record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, New Brockton moves to 0-5 on the season. The Gamecocks travel to Opp (Opp, AL) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 2. The Bobcats go into the match with a record of 29-10. Opp won 6-5 in their recent non-league match against Long (Skipperville, AL)
