The Smithville Warriors baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Grandview Bulldogs to 1 in the Warriors non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Warriors (12-10) will now prepare for their match against Joplin (Joplin, MO). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 5-13 record. In their last match, Joplin was overwhelmed by Carthage (Carthage, MO), 3-2, in a league match.

The Bulldogs (1-12) will now prepare for their match against Raytown South (Raytown, MO). The Cardinals go into the Class 5 District 7 match with a 4-15 record. In their last match, Raytown South was overwhelmed by Truman (Independence, MO), 18-2, in a non-league match.
