Avon Grove Red Devils (West Grove, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bayard Rustin Golden Knights (West Chester, PA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Downingtown East for a Ches-Mont challenge on Friday, April 26. Avon Grove will face a Cougars squad coming off a 11-3 league win over Great Valley (Malvern, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Bayard Rustin falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Golden knights travel to Ridley (Folsom, PA) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
