Eastern Eagles (Louisville, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ballard Bruins (Louisville, KY), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 19-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Warren for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. Eastern will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 16-1 league win over Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY). The Spartans record now stands at 24-1.

With the loss, Ballard falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY) to battle the Crimsons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Crimsons enter the challenge with a record of 9-9.
