Bloomington South Panthers (Bloomington, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bloomington North Cougars (Bloomington, IN), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Silver Creek for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Bloomington South will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 7-5 league win over North Harrison (Ramsey, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 17-4.

With the loss, Bloomington North falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN) to battle the Braves in a Conference Indiana challenge on Friday, April 26. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 13-5. Terre Haute South Vigo won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Terre Haute North Vigo (Terre Haute, IN)
