The Male Bulldogs (Louisville, KY) softball nipped the host Butler Bears (Louisville, KY), 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs (13-5) will now prepare for their bout against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY). The Bluebirds go into the non-league bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Highlands was edged by Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
The Bears now possess a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Great Crossing for a non-league bout on Friday, April 26. Butler will confront a squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Frankfort (Frankfort, KY). The record now stands at 12-5.
