Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart Cyclones (Miami, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes (Homestead, FL), 18-8 in a league challenge.

The Cyclones now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Keys Gate for a 3A District 16 challenge on Thursday, April 25. Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart will battle a Knights squad coming off a 17-2 league win over Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL). The Knights record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Somerset Academy South Homestead falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Mater Academy Bay (Cutler Bay, FL) to battle the Rays in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. The Rays enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Mater Academy Bay won 17-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Immaculata-La Salle (Miami, FL)
