Edison Spartans (Elmira Heights, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Whitney Point Eagles (Whitney Point, NY), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Susquehanna Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Edison will face a Sabers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Seton Catholic Central (Binghamton, NY). The Sabers record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Whitney Point falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Dryden (Dryden, NY) to face the Lions in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Large challenge on Monday, April 29. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-6.
