St. Michael-Albertville Knights (Albertville, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buffalo for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. St. Michael-Albertville will battle a Bison squad coming off a 16-4 non-league loss to Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN). The Bison record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Elk River falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Elks host Champlin Park (Champlin, MN) to battle the Rebels in a Northwest Suburban challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Champlin Park won 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Andover (Andover, MN)
