Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gilmer County Titans (Glenville, WV), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Minutemen now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host North Marion for a Big Ten challenge on Friday, April 26.

With the loss, Gilmer County falls to 15-9 on the campaign. The Titans host Hannan (Ashton, WV) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-16. Hannan lost 22-10 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV)
