Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Middleburgh Knights (Middleburgh, NY), 19-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canajoharie for a Section 2 Western - Northern challenge on Friday, April 26.

With the loss, Middleburgh falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Duanesburg (Delanson, NY) to battle the Eagles in a Section 2 Western - Southern challenge on Friday, April 26. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Duanesburg won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Schoharie (Schoharie, NY)
