Northwest Mustangs (Hughesville, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Tipton Cardinals (Tipton, MO), 17-5 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they host Kingsville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30.

With the loss, Tipton falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Concordia (Concordia, MO) to face the Fighting Orioles in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Fighting Orioles enter the challenge with a record of 22-2. Concordia won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Crest Ridge (Centerview, MO)
