Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT) and the visiting Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT), witnessed Oxford's softball squad tip Shepaug Valley by a count of 1-0.

The Wolverines now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Seymour for a Naugatuck Valley - Copper outing on Friday, April 26. Oxford will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 8-5 league win over Wolcott (Wolcott, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-1.

The Spartans (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Kangaroos enter the Berkshire outing with a 0-5 record.
