Indiana High School Softball - Union County holds off Richmond

April 24, 2024: Richmond, IN 47374

Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Richmond Red Devils (Richmond, IN), 10-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host South Dearborn for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. Union County will battle a Knights squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over South Ripley (Versailles, IN). The Knights record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Richmond falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Marion (Marion, IN) to battle the Giants in a North Central challenge on Monday, April 29. The Giants enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Marion lost 24-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Northfield (Wabash, IN)
