Wood Memorial Trojans (Oakland City, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shoals Jug Rox (Shoals, IN), 20-17 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northeast Dubois for a Blue Chip challenge on Thursday, April 25. Wood Memorial will face a Jeeps squad coming off a 14-6 league loss to Loogootee (Loogootee, IN). The Jeeps record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Shoals falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Jug rox host Crawford County (Marengo, IN) to face the Wolfpack in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. The Wolfpack enter the challenge with a record of 0-11. Crawford County lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Forest Park (Ferdinand, IN)
