In Thursday's non-league game, the host Durand Railroaders baseball team scored a close 8-3 win over the Corunna Cavaliers.
The Railroaders (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Mt. Morris (Mt. Morris, MI). The Panthers go into the Mid-Michigan game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Mt. Morris nudged Atherton (Burton, MI), 6-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Cavaliers play the Brandon Blackhawks (Ortonville, MI) in a Flint Metro game, on Monday, April 28. Corunna will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Blackhawks go into the game with a 1-7 record after their 11-4 league loss to Goodrich (Goodrich, MI).
