The Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers baseball team scored 4 runs and restricted the visiting Piper Pirates to 2 in the Trailblazers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Trailblazers (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS). The Thunderbirds enter the non-league battle with a 12-1 record. In their last battle, Shawnee Heights held off Shawnee Mission North (Shawnee Mission, KS), 11-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Pirates face the Hays Indians (Hays, KS) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 25. Piper will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 11-6 league win over Dodge City (Dodge City, KS).
