In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Joel Barlow Falcons baseball team scored a close 10-9 victory over the Lewis Mills Spartans.
The Falcons (7-1) will now prepare for their game against Newtown (Newtown, CT). The Nighthawks enter the Southwest game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Newtown was tipped by Bethel (Bethel, CT), 4-2, in a league game.
Next, the Spartans face the Bristol Central Rams (Bristol, CT) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 25. Lewis Mills will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Rams enter the game with a 3-5 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Manchester (Manchester, CT).
