The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Northeast Bearcats (Cairo, MO) and the host Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO), saw Northeast's baseball team beat Monroe City by a margin of 13-4.
The Bearcats (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Moberly (Moberly, MO). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 19-3 record. In their last battle, Moberly defeated Canton (Canton, MO), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Panthers face the Mark Twain Tigers (Center, MO) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 2. Monroe City will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 1-14 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Clopton (Clarksville, MO).
