The Northwest Indians baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Rootstown Rovers to 5 in the Indians non-league win on Thursday.

The Indians now hold a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake for a non-league test on Friday, April 25. Northwest will play a Blue Streaks team coming off a 8-7 league loss to Green (Uniontown, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 6-4.

With the defeat, Rootstown drops to 7-4 on the year. The Rovers host Aquinas (Louisville, OH) to play the Knights in a Portage Trail test on Monday, April 28. The Knights go into the test with a record of 1-7. Aquinas lost 12-2 in their recent non-league test against Fairless (Navarre, OH)
