The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) and the host Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), saw St. Joseph-Ogden's baseball team gain a win over Pontiac by a tally of 7-1.

The Spartans (18-2) will now prepare for their battle against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL). The Grey Ghosts enter the Illini Prairie battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Illinois Valley Central held off Canton (Canton, IL), 15-5, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Indians face the Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) in a Illini Prairie battle, on Monday, April 28. Pontiac will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Sages enter the battle with a 17-3 record after their 9-3 league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL).
