Illinois High School Soccer - Elgin knocks off Proviso West

In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Elgin Maroons soccer squad scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Proviso West Panthers.
The Maroons (13-0) will now prepare for their outing against DeKalb (DeKalb, IL). The Barbs go into the non-league outing with a 1-11 record. In their last outing, DeKalb was overwhelmed by Naperville Central (Naperville, IL), 4-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Panthers play the Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) in a non-league outing, on Monday, April 28. Proviso West will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Rebels go into the outing with a 0-9 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).
